Ovulation Induction & Monitoring

Stimulating Natural Fertility with Medical Precision

Ovulation is a key part of the female reproductive cycle, and for many women facing infertility, irregular or absent ovulation (anovulation) is a primary cause. At Jeevan Sparsh Hospital, we offer Ovulation Induction & Monitoring—a safe, scientific approach to help women release eggs regularly, improving the chances of natural conception or preparing the body for fertility procedures like IUI or IVF.

What is Ovulation Induction?
  • Ovulation induction is a fertility treatment that uses hormonal medications to stimulate the ovaries to develop and release mature eggs. It is typically recommended for women who have:
  • Irregular or absent menstrual cycles (PCOS, thyroid issues, etc.)
  • Anovulation (not releasing eggs)
  • Hormonal imbalances affecting egg release
Our Process: Step-by-Step Monitoring

Our fertility specialists closely monitor the entire process to ensure optimal egg development while minimizing the risk of overstimulation.

1. Baseline Ultrasound & Hormonal Tests

Done on Day 2 or 3 of the menstrual cycle to check ovarian reserve and hormonal profile.

2. Medication Protocol

Based on your condition, we prescribe oral tablets (like Letrozole or Clomiphene Citrate) or injectable gonadotropins to stimulate the ovaries.

3. Follicular Monitoring (Transvaginal Ultrasound)

Regular ultrasounds track follicle (egg) growth in the ovaries, usually between Day 8–14 of the cycle.

4. Hormone Blood Tests

Sometimes used alongside scans to monitor estrogen levels and ensure the follicles are maturing properly.

5. Trigger Injection

When the follicles are mature (typically >18mm), an hCG injection is given to trigger ovulation within 36–40 hours.

6. Timed Intercourse / IUI Scheduling

Depending on the treatment plan, we advise timed natural intercourse or proceed with intrauterine insemination (IUI) shortly after ovulation is triggered.

Who Can Benefit?
  • Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
  • Those with unexplained infertility
  • Women with irregular periods
  • Couples planning IUI or IVF cycles
